Defense
retired Army Brigadier General Mike Meese https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-meese-9906727 Meese is one of General "Petraeus' guys", a hand-picked advisor. This may not be promising, though I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because he's an expert West Point academic and professional. Petraeus is a controversial figure. He got into a lot of trouble -- Benghazi CIA operation, extra-marital affair, and like Hillary Clinton he spread classified documents to uncleared people, namely his sex fling. He was investigated by the FBI during his short time as CIA Director. He resigned and avoided charges. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Petraeus Hopefully Meese will will rise above the guilt by association, and show much better judgment, focusing on vets. ![]() Last edited by Dorm on Sat Nov 12, 2016 2:13 am, edited 1 time in total.

Intelligence
Lieutenant General Ronald Lee Burgess, Jr. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_L._Burgess,_Jr. http://www.bloomberg.com/research/stock ... P%20LP/THE
This is the 2nd former director of the DIA in Trump's admin. The other is retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, who succeeded the older Burgess (pictured below). I find this interesting because, in terms of intelligence, the Obama admin was more linked to the CIA and State Dept. Whereas the Pentagon's DIA, like the NSA, is something of a rival force to CIA/State. ![]() |

Trump should resist neocon & shadow gov’t influence to justify people’s hopes – Ron Paul
https://www.rt.com/usa/366404-trump-ron-paul-crosstalk/
If only Trump and the Paul team made up and talked, and seriously traded ideas, we might see America great again. Unfortunately, the last thing Trump is going to do is pursue Paulian ideas of cutting the military and transferring the taxpayer money back into the economy. When I think of Trump policy, I think Reagan era. Giant military spending, lowered taxes and revenue shortfall, big deficits, big debts, money printing, etc.. Instead, I wish $200 billion from the excessive defense budget and $100 billion from non-military bureaucracies get redirected right into rebuilding the nation, as well as fed to small businesses and families. |

![]() Scroll down to see other appointees, and the main candidates for other positions So far, an interesting set of choices and some people of serious experience. But on the whole, not very promising, and several of these people are suspicious or just frightening. Trump promised to drain the swamp, right? Instead, it looks like he's been sifting through the swamp with his net and bringing home a lot of NeoCon swamp-dwellers. When the appointments are done, we'll see the entire configuration and guess what the administration is geared for. It could be specialized to enact a series of particular policies and actions, like the Bush and Obama admins. |

"drain the swamp" was the rally cry for all the conservatives who backed him, now that he's turned the hoses on to fill the swamp to the brim, not a peep. They're just happy a guy with their team's jersey won. |
