Transformers Generations

Mixing things up a bit. Let's have one forum for toy discussion. We can have multiple threads, or just one thread, doesn't matter, but let's try having it all in one place for a while and see if that doesn't help discussion. '

And just a reminder... we don't really mod... anything... so thread drift is not a problem. However I left the General forums because some topics require more time/seriousness/devotion... I.E. more than "drift"

All the other toy forums are under archives, so we can bring them back if everyone hates this.

I'm kind of impressed at just how much like the G1 figures the clones look. That's not always great, as Pounce has the same scrawny legs he did back then in panther mode, but it's awfully nostalgic.

And I totally missed that it was Chase. That's pretty neat. They should throw in a Cliffjumper head, too. :)

I found Triggerhappy and Twinferno yesterday. Twinferno is a little awkward, but still pretty good, and I love that his Titan Master is an homage to Battle Beasts.

But the absolute star of the show is Triggerhappy. Really, the only complaint I have with him is that his arm guns and his wings get in each other's way a bit. Beyond that, though, his proportions look very nice in robot mode, all his joints are tight, he's got a clever transformation, and his fighter mode is beautiful, with minimal robot kibble.

If you're into Transformers at all, he's definitely worth picking up. One of the best, if not the best Titans Return figures I've picked up.

I definitely should get TH. He was my favorite Targetmaster back in the day. He was like an X-Wing or something!

I'm really glad to see these guys. I'm also glad that both seem to be based on the Triggerhappy mold, since it's a good one.

Slight bummer that Slugslinger's Titan Master has to have an additional third cockpit to sit in, though.

Official renders of Misfire and Slugslinger.

Definitely looking forward to these guys. Nostalgia power is strong with Titans Return.

I'm impressed that they did such a good recreation of Slugslinger's Targetmaster gun. Wished they'd done that with all the former Targetmasters.

Yeah.

It's kind of sad that Titans Return is all Headmasters. It would be nice to have an actual Targetmaster for the old TM guys.

I've seen some speculation that the next theme, "Power of the Primes" will be some kind of Powermaster homage, but I'm skeptical. Especially since they've already make Powermasters (including Prime) in Titans Return.

I just hope it's not a line full of "____ Prime" figures. Bumblebee Prime! Wheeljack Prime! Rodimus Pr... wait.

It sounds...gimmicky, doesn't it?

The word "Power" makes me think "_____ Action."

Of course it also makes me think of Star Wars action figure lines, so maybe it's something more traditional and heroic.
