Transformers Generations

Mixing things up a bit. Let's have one forum for toy discussion. We can have multiple threads, or just one thread, doesn't matter, but let's try having it all in one place for a while and see if that doesn't help discussion. '

And just a reminder... we don't really mod... anything... so thread drift is not a problem. However I left the General forums because some topics require more time/seriousness/devotion... I.E. more than "drift"

All the other toy forums are under archives, so we can bring them back if everyone hates this.

How did I miss this? Apparently, there's going to be a VOYAGER sized Fall of Cybertron Grimlock:

I'm very excited by Hasbro letting go of the "only deluxes" rule for Generations, and I may be down for FoC Grimlock, because he's pretty awesome in the game. Sadly, the picture I linked here doesn't quite capture the look to my eye, but I'll have to hunt for some more info.

Robot mode: http://tformers.com/ig.php?dispsize=800 ... e=view&sl=

Now, if they'd only make a Voyager Optimus Prime.

Dang! That robot mode is not bad at all. I might have to pick up one of those.

As far as Optimus Prime goes, at least the one they've got out now will probably look good with that Grimlock, at least.

I just noticed that your link also has the Repaintacus guys.

Still a weird idea that I'm surprised isn't a convention exclusive.

And, hey, lots of the new... uh... tapes? I guess? What are we calling those? Datatrax? CDs?

Kinda Generations, I guess.

Transformers Platinum. Repaints of Energon Optimus and Omega Supreme. Omega looks pretty good, and could hang with your CHUG guys if you wanted. I don't see any report of price or availability, though.

I kinda like that repainted Omega (although I still think his vehicle mode is lousy, and he's nothing compared to the original, which managed to be awesome even with the "tear down and rebuild" transformation and no actual face). He does look a lot like the version from War for Cybertron also.

That Prime looks better than the original version, but I don't see any way a new deco could make that toy worth buying.

I'm definitely with you on Prime.

And, really, I sincerely doubt I'd ever actually buy that Omega. Especially since I could probably get the original and some silver spray paint for a lot less.

Well, he does have a different claw than the original, apparently (more WfC-looking). I think he has a different, more G1-looking head too.
