Wow, I missed the finished version previously.

Looks good.

I know next to nothing about Transformers beyond the 80s cartoons. All I can say is that's a fun custom. All the paints look pretty precise to me.

Thanks, guys.

It's not perfect, but as a first try, I'm pretty happy.

Proving I am a man of consistency, it's another Junkion custom!

This idea started out much simpler (a guy who was orange on one side and brown on the other), but as I started messing around with it, it got more and more involved until, well, you can see the pictures.

Anyway, I've named this one Dizzy. I haven't done his axe yet, so he's not technically finished, but I was excited about finally being able to put him together. Oh, and he was much more apart than the last Junkion I made, so that was more involved, too. If I make another of these guys (and I do not currently have plans to), I'll have to break out some serious tools to get any farther in the disassembly. Anyway, here's Dizzy:

Basically, I used two cans of Krylon Fusion, a lot of masking tape, and a shiny clear coat. And a lot of patience.

Oh, and he's got a Reprolabels license plate that was left over from the Junkion 2 set.

He looks like he came out great. He definitely gives the impression of being assembled from spare parts, and he looks very "Junkion" color-wise as well.

Nice work!

Thank you, sir!

I was pretty happy with how he came out. The wheels are a little sloppier than I'd hoped they would be, but I don't really have a way to take them off their hubs, so painting them is tricky.

WHEN WILL THE MADNESS STOP!

I like Dizzy. That's a cool color scheme.

You realize you've gotta do one in Camo now, right?

Monte Williams was interested in owning a Metroplex (the Cybertron version, not the new one) that I had, but thought the color scheme was too toyish, so I volunteered to weather it a bit. It was a lot of fun dirtying up an expanse of boring white plastic that big, and I think it turned out pretty well. Here's a pic:
