Now this is awesome! Nintendo, who has been making a lot of unexpected moves lately, is releasing a miniature Nintendo Entertainment System replica that comes with an NES Controller and is loaded with 30 classic games! It looks just like an original NES, but it's small enough to fit in one hand, and it hooks up to HDTVs via HDMI! And if that wasn't exciting enough, check out this list of games:

Balloon Fight™
BUBBLE BOBBLE
Castlevania™
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest™
Donkey Kong™
Donkey Kong Jr. ™
DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE
Dr. Mario™
Excitebike™
FINAL FANTASY®
Galaga™
GHOSTS’N GOBLINS®
GRADIUS™
Ice Climber™
Kid Icarus™
Kirby’s Adventure™
Mario Bros. ™
MEGA MAN® 2
Metroid™
NINJA GAIDEN
PAC-MAN™
Punch-Out!! ™ Featuring Mr. Dream
StarTropics™
SUPER C™
Super Mario Bros.™
Super Mario Bros. ™ 2
Super Mario Bros. ™ 3
TECMO BOWL
The Legend of Zelda™
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link™

So pretty much the best and most classic of the NES lineup (okay, so it doesn't have Contra, but it does have the sequel Super C; whaddyawant? EVERYTHING?)! It comes out this November and will retail for $59.99 (about the price of a single game for a modern home console). Additional NES Controllers will even be available for $9.99 (or you can use the Classic Controller Pro if you have one), so you can play all those classic on-couch two-player games. And you can use the NES Controllers for Virtual Console games on the Wii and Wii U too! I know what I want for Christmas this year!

I saw a picture of that somewhere, but I didn't know the details.

Definitely sounds cool. I wonder how much it'd cost to get a working vintage NES and all those games.

(I am slightly disappointed that it won't be Mike Tyson's Punch Out, though.)

I have an Everdrive, so for roughly $190, I have a classic NES with every NES game ever made. If you already have your old NES, it's about $150

cannot believe Nintendo is cancelling this console. My only hope is that it's in lieu of a Classic 2.0
